Manchester situated in England at north of Leicester known in modern history for starting capitalism and industrial revolution and famous for slPennines to the north and east. City with historical traces back to AD 79 but come into notice during 19th century when unplanned urbanization resulted into the city as result of boom in textile manufacturing during the industrial revolution. Presently center of arts, the media, higher education and commerce Manchester polled as second city in UK.   As learning this much about the city below we would discuss about the some panoramic and exciting places to visit in Manchester.

  1. Castlefield Urban Heritage Park: This roman fort that is credited for giving birth to the city of Manchester was constructed day back in Castlefield in AD 79. Soon with span of time it become center for all activities in industrial Manchester and become its heart. It became landscape of weather stained brick buildings and rusting cast-iron relics of canals, viaducts, bridges, warehouses and market buildings. It is now developed into Urban Heritage Park.
  2. City of Manchester Stadium: The spectacular City of Manchester Stadium is home to the Manchester City Football Club. It is one of the most impressive state of the art conference and events venues in England. The Stadium was constructed Manchester’s bid for the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2002 Commonwealth Games at a cost of £110 million.
  3. Godlee Observatory: This old observatory is under ownership of University of Manchester and is named after Francis Godlee. It is situated in a tower on the roof of the University’s Sackville Street building in the City Center of Manchester, England.
  4. Imperial War Museum North: The Imperial War Museum North is a war museum at historically impoverished area in London designed by world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind. It is one of the five branches of the Imperial War Museum and the lone one at southeast England.  It is a museum to tell about the impact of war on the lives of British and Commonwealth citizens since 1914. It is worth visiting for travelers having fascination for military hardware and battle strategy.
  5. The Museum of Science and Industry: The Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester (MOSI), is the largest museum in the city devoted to the cause of science, technology and industry. It is a non departmental public body. There are extensive exhibits in the museum on the theme of transport including railway locomotives, rolling stock, aircraft and space vehicles; on theme of power comprising water, electricity, steam and gas engines.  The stream train at the museum is real attraction over there and is run by volunteers.
